Positively Woof

I first want to say thank you to Larry Kay for giving my kids and I the opportunity to review Dogs wow Dogs DVD, the Dogs Wow Dogs song sampler, and the booklet. Dogs Wow Dogs is known for the most award-winning dog care DVD for Kids. My children are 2 and 4 and are that age to learn more about dogs. They both love animals and especially dogs. We also have a lot of dogs in our neighbor hood. This year when we go out I have been trying to teach my four year old more about dogs and how to react to them. Sometimes it is hard to explain to children how to treat a dog. When we received Dogs Wow Dogs my son wanted to watch the DVD right away. We already have watched the DVD about 10 times already. That should tell you how much he liked it.

The DVD is very education and tells you how to care for your pet. The two main characters in the DVD are Stately the dog which was Justin favorite and Remix which is the cat and Emily's favorite. Stately and Remix help kids understand how to care and keep their pet healthy. Throughout the DVD it teaches children when dog are happy they wag there tail. It also explain when you bring your new best friend home what you have to do and walks you through the steps. Another chapter is explaining check up and the vet. My favorite one is to ask if you can pet a dog or not. This is what we are working on with Justin. He always wants to pet every dog he sees but we want to prevent any accidents. There was another clip where it showed how you command and teach your dog task. Then the next episode was about playing with your dog. Which Justin enjoyed watching that part. I highly recommend this DVD to anyone who is thinking about getting a pet who have small children. I have tried to explain to my children how to interact with animals and sometimes it is hard. With this DVD it relates to kids and breaks it down so that they can comprehend it. Being prepared and having a child understand how to react to an animal can prevent any accidents. After my son watching this video he was repeating what he watched and was telling I need to ask before i pet a dog. I am glad that I found a great DVD for kids that can help them explain how to be around dogs and how to take care of them.

Larry Kay is now offering the DVD Music CD and booklet for $9.99 (plus shipping) this is a $20.00 value. You can find more information on his site www.positivelywoof.com

Please note that Larry Kay is moving sites at the moment.

  8. Awww, what a cute looking series. I love that it would help teach kids how to handle pets and not to approach other people's pets without permission. That's something I had to work very hard on with my kids and I bet a DVD like this would have helped a lot.
