When it comes to my daughters room it is kind of plain. I was looking into decals but I always thought they where to difficult to do. I have been seeing a lot of pictures of decals in rooms an they look great, but also look like they take a lot of time and effort. I found a great site called Wall Slicks and they have almost anything that you can imagine. They had a great selection of product and I found myself going through the pages and finding a lot of items that caught my eye. There was two items that I really wanted to review and that was the Princess Castle and their Butterflies.
I was sent a personalized name that came with the Princess Castle and 20 Butterflies. I received this package pretty quickly in the mail and was excited to try and attempt this project on my daughters wall. Before I started this project I cleaned the walls and washed it first. The one thing that I noticed after washing the walls that there was dirt on them. After i let I started figuring out where I wanted to put the decals. What I would recommend if you have a lot of different decals and your not sure where to put them I would cut them out and scotch tape them to the wall to see if that is the place you would like them. I did not do that I was brave and stuck them to the wall. I first started with the castle. It was very easy to put on and did not take a lot of time. What I did was peal off the white backing and it was on a sticky clear paper. Then I stuck it to the wall. Then there was plastic hard object hat I compared to a thicker credit card that helped press the decal on. After pressing the decal on you peal the sticky part on and the decal stays on your wall. The Castle took awhile to complete because there was there where several details to the castle such as the bricks, flags, the top to the towers. I also liked how I could personalize the name to the picture. Everything that you see in the picture except the butterflies came with the castle decal set. When I first saw this picture I thought it was kind of plain. I wanted something else that would go with the castle and I found cute butterflies. In the butterfly package it came with about 20 butterflies. I decided that there where some areas that the butterflies could fill in and make it a little better. I like how easy this project was. It took me awhile and I took several breaks because my children where get antsy. I had a lot of with this project and would highly recommend Wall Slicks. I also like how none of the decal ripped or came off after applying them. This project estimated cost would be 33 dollars which is not bad at all. Wall Slicks have offered to give one lucky reader 100 dollar store credit? How amazing is that.
