Are you looking for another DVD to add to your Friday movie night collection. Than I would highly recommend A Monster in Paris. This is a very cute movie and our family enjoyed watching it together with a big bowl of popcorn. Without giving the movie away let me tell you a little bit about the movie. This movie take place in Paris in 1910. Panics sweeps across Paris and the city is in panic due to there is a monster on the loose. While the monster is on the lose their is a wacky inventor, his best friend that is camera crazy and a madcap monkey are on a mission to protect the beat named Franc. Franc has a special talent. They receive help from the fiesty singer named Lucille and the team protects the monster and help keep him away from the wannabe Mayor. The mayor goal was to capture Franc and make him out to be a mean and bad monster.
The director of this movie you may recognize him from the movie Shark Tale. Starring in this movie are Adam Goldberg, Jay Harrington, Bob Balaban, Sean Lennon, Vanessa Paradis, Danny Huston and Catherine O'Hara.
My overview on this movie at first I was not sure. I had mixed emotions before watching it. Our family is big into movie night. This is a perfect film for a family fun night. My son was very happy that he we gave it a chance. He has been asking to watch it every night. He absolutely has fallen in love with movie and he has stated that it is one of his favorites of all time. This movie is fun and easy to follow for children which is great. I did not have to explain what is going on during the movie. Their was a lot of singing during the movie and my two year old daughter really enjoyed those parts throughout the movie. This is a great fun, funny a good family movie. I do not want to give it away to much.
