I know as a parents I am always looking for new apps for my iPad for my children. Since school is out I like to have apps on my iPad so my son can refresh on what he learned in school so he is prepared for next year.
I have found several great apps for my son and my daughter to use over the summer. Kids Academy offers a variety of different apps that are educational that will help children brush up on their letter, numbers, reading and ect.
The first app that I was able to review was their Kids Academy Reading and Writing. My son is 6 years old and he has having a hard time with reading and this app is fun for him and helps him brush up on reading and writing. This app has has several different activities such as mazes, rhyming words, uppercase lesson, lowercase letters, short vowels, long vowels, and writing words. My son usually does not want to sit down and learn about vowels, letters, rhyming words and ect. This app helps make it fun and new where he will spend hours playing with this app. The great benefit is that he is learning from this app and having fun.
The next app I was able to try their free version app preschool kids games kid puzzles and I was quite impressed. My daughter and son were able to try this app. Although my daughter like the app a little more than my son because he already new the basics that his app provided. Although it was a good summer refresher for him. My daughter loved the app and zipped through it. Her numbers are getting better and her hand and eye coordination. She is starting to get a feel of how to write the numbers and starting to understand her abcs. I would recommend Kid Academy apps for your children and they do help kids get an understand of numbers and abcs. This would be a great app to use during the summer to help your children prepare for preschool and kindergarten. You can find these apps on iTunes.
The last app that we got to try was the kids tracing numbers app. Children will be able to trace numbers on your iPad. 123 tracing is action packed app that help kids learn their numbers while engaging the game. My daughter really seemed to like this specific app. She spent hours playing this app. Overall my children love Kids Academy apps. You can find all these app on the app store.
