When it comes to Mother's Day there is nothing better than homemade treats. I know that each year my kiddos love making homemade treats for Mother's Day. Usually they will make me a cake or cookies. I know that personally I love chocolate chip cookies.
My daughter and I were excited when we received a box in the mail from Domino. When we took a peek inside we were blown away. My daughter was excited when she saw there was an apron inside. She loves wearing aprons when she bakes or cooks. She always says she the master chef.
My daughter was excited that she received her own measuring cups. We put those aside, so when she decided to bake on her own she had a set. Then we received one of those measuring cups that you can measure liquids in. These will come in handy when we are baking in the kitchen.
When were surprised with the four types of sugars that we took out of our box. I will admit during covid we started to make more and have noticed the different kinds of sugars that we have used. We received regular golden sugar. This type of sugar we use with almost anything that we bake.
Then they provided light and brown sugar. The brown sugar has been amazing when we added it to our applesauce that we have been making over the past week. Also if you are a fan of chocolate chip cookies you will be using brown sugar for the recipe.
The last sugar that was provided was their confectioners sugar. This sugar is great to make icing for cinnamon buns or even cookies. It taste amazing with just the simplest of glazes.
I was excited that the provided a couple of recipes that you can find below for Mother Day treats. You can find the sugars at your local grocery store.
