I remember as a child one of my favorite series was Hey Arnold! I remember watching this series every Saturday morning. I remember Arnold as football kid and having a fun time watching these episodes. I am excited to announce that the Hey Arnold! The Complete Series is available August 19th, 2014 only at 

Wal-Mart.

I was excited to be able to share this series with my children. It is fun to watch old cartoons with your children that you watched when you were a child. My children were not sure that they would like Hey Arnold! at first. My son told me that he would not like something I used to like. When we started to watch the series my son said he did not like it at first, but I believe he all talk. He did not want to shut it off and the series kept him intrigued for quite awhile. This series has over 99 adventures so it has a lot of episodes and will keep us busy. I would highly recommend sharing this complete series with your family. I personally love Hey Arnold! and always been a huge fan.

Power Rangers: In Space, Vol 1. Review

I am excited to share another new release that came out on August 5th. If you are a fan of Power Rangers like my son is, you will be excited to hear that Power Rangers came out with a new DVD. Power Rangers: In Space, Vol. 1, a 3-DVD box set that contains the first 22 episodes of the series.

When my son watched this DVD for the first time he was very excited. He is a huge fan of Power Rangers and watches several different Power Ranger shows on television. I am not sure if he ever watched Power Rangers: In Space before. Honestly I can not keep track with all the different Power Ranger series out there. Although when my son watched this specific series he was really into it and he said he it was one of the best Power Ranger series. I did have to limit on how many he watched at a time. He kept asking if he could watch more. I would recommend this DVD and if you have a son or daughter who are into Power Rangers I am sure they will enjoy this series also. I know my son did.

I am excited to let you know that recently Ninja Turtles came out with a new DVD on August 5th, 2014. My son is a huge fan of Ninja Turtles so the new dvd that is coming out he is very excited to see. The new DVD that came out on August 5th was Ninja Turtles: The Next Mutation- Turtle Power. 

A little bit about Ninja Turtles: The Next Mutation- Turtle Power:

Everyone's favorite turtles Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello and Michelangelo, along with the newest addition to the family, Venus Di Milo are back! They're on a mission to reduce Master Splinter from the evil Dragon Lord and his horde while staying clear of other new foes like the vampiress Vam-Mi, the yeti Silver and the big-game hunter Simon Bonesteel who are all out of their shells! Ninja Turtles: The Next Mutation- Turtle Power contains six crossover episodes "Save Our Ship" and "Shell Shocked" as a bonus feature. 

My overall thoughts is that this DVD is not for me. This more up my 6 year old son alley. He love Ninja Turtles and he a huge fan of this new movie. It took sometime getting used to it where the Ninja Turtles are not cartoon like characters. My son like how they brought Vam-Mi in this DVD. He also like how is Splinter was in this DVD also. This DVD brought entertainment and excitement for my son. He was intrigued through the whole DVD. He did not want to pause it or put it done for a minute. If you have a son or daughter that is a fan of Ninja Turtles that this DVD will be great for your DVD collection.

Toy Story of Terror Blu Ray Review

I have some scary news to tell you! Do not be afraid. I just wanted to let you guys know that Toy Story of Terror is coming out on August 18! I know in our family we are fans of Toy Story DVD's, so when we heard about Toy Story of Terror coming out on Blu-Ray we were very excited. When my son found out we were given the chance to review Toy Story of Terror he was super excited. He could not wait until the movie arrived and when it did he made sure it went straight to the DVD player.

Overall thoughts:

My son and daughter seemed to enjoy Toy Story of Terror. My daughter was excited when she saw Jessie on TV. Jessie is her favorite one of the gang. My son was on his seat and excited to see if they found Mr. Potato Head. Although this movie was not to scary it make it adventures for the kids. I like how they knew how to go so far and not scare them. They made it fun and exciting. I would highly recommend this Blu ray for your children. Especially if they are fans of Toy Story they will love this one.

50th Anniversary Edition Mary Poppins

I remember as a little girl watching Mary Poppins with my family. As a child that was one of my favorite movies of all times. I was very excited when we received the 50th Anniversary Edition for review. I was excited to watch this movie on movie night with my children. I think I was more excited to watch Mary Poppins with my children than my children at the time.

When we watched Mary Poppins I enjoyed my children's faces lighting up during the movie. My son fell in love with this movie. I think his favorite of the movie was a spoon full of sugar make the medicine go down. He keep singing that line around the house. My daughter keeps trying to sing Supercalifragilous and it cute to watch her try. This is a great classic that I enjoyed when I was a child and it a great classic for my children to enjoy also.

Little Mermaid Ariels Beginning and THe Little Mermaid II Review

I am a huge Little Mermaid fan and was excited that their was a new DVD that recently came out. The new 3 Disc Special Edition 2 movie collection The Little Mermaid: Ariel's Beginning and the The Little Mermaid II.

When I watched the Ariel's Beginning wit my children we enjoyed this movie. Ariel's Beginning is a glimpse of what happened before the original Little Mermaid. We get to experience for the first time what Ariel's childhood was like in Atlantica. At the beginning of the movie King Triton is enjoying a family day with his wife and his daughters. When their was a bad accident that took his wife away. After the accident King Triton was angry and banned music from his kingdom.

Throughout the movie his daughter find it hard to connect with their father due to the past. Ariel is trying to help her father put the past in the past and fall in love with the music again. My son enjoyed this movie better than the original movie due to it was not as scary he said. It was a great movie and I would recommend watching it. 

The next movie we watched was The Little Mermaid II: Return to the Sea. I was very excited to see this movie. Recently I saw a preview for this movie and I was excited to watch it with my kids. Return to the Sea is about Ariel and Eric celebrating the birth of their daughter Melody. They are headed to Atlantica to share the celebration with Ariel's father King Triton. Shortly after the celebration is interrupted by Ursula's sister Morgana. Morgana goal is to destroy the young princess. Ariel is sadden that Melody will never get to know about her mermaid heritage due to Altantica not being safe when Morgana is on the loose. King Triton has Sebastian keep and eye on his granddaughter. When Melody become 12 she is very headstrong just like her mother. Melody sneaks off to swim in the ocean. You can imagine what happens next. Watch the movie and find out!

We really liked this movie. My son really enjoyed it although he did not like Morgana at all. I loved the music. It was a great movie and it kept my attention throughout the whole movie. The only thing that was hard for me at times that Ariel was all grown up and a mom. I could relate to Ariel though since being a mom.

I would highly recommend picking up this DVD for your princess Christmas Stocking. You can find this at your local stores or amazon.com

Jake and the Never Land Pirates: Never Land Rescue Review

  The holidays season has begun. If you are trying to find the perfect gift for your kiddos. You should consider Jake and the Never Land Pirates: Never Land Rescue. Jake and the Never Land Pirates: Never Land Rescue just recently came out on DVD. 

My son is a huge fan of Jake and he loves the show. I have to admit that I am even a fan. I love the two pirate rockers in the show. 

Here is a little bit about this DVD. The fate of Never Land hangs in the balance as magical treasure are mysteriously vanishing: Jake's sword, Izzy's pixie dust and even the directions on Cubby's map. O no!! Do not worry Jake is here to the save the day. Jake goes on the Forever Quest to restore the power to the source of Never Land's magic.

My son sat through the whole show. He watched it several times. He absouletley loves Jake and his friends. Also with the DVD a sword came with it and also stickers to put the sword. It was very easy to blow up and brought a lot of fun for the day.

Monster University Review

Our family are huge fans of Sully and Mike from Monsters Inc. When we found out that we were able to review their new movie Monster University we were beyond excited. When we received our copy for review my children were very excited and we had to watch it ASAP. 

Synopsis:

Ever since college-bound Mike Wazowski (voice of Billy Crystal) was a little monster, he has dreamed of becoming a Scarer—and he knows better than anyone that the best Scarers come from Monsters University (MU). But during his first semester at MU, Mike’s plans are derailed when he crosses paths with hotshot James P. Sullivan, “Sulley” (voice of John Goodman), a natural-born Scarer. The pair’s out-of-control competitive spirit gets them both kicked out of the University’s elite Scare Program. To make matters worse, they realize they will have to work together, along with an odd bunch of misfit monsters, if they ever hope to make things right. “Monsters University” bravely explores themes of self-discovery and the revelations that come with growing up.

 

Our opinions about the movie:

 

I can not tell you how many times we have watched this movie. My son and I can not get enough. This movie is perfect for the whole family and is a family friend movie. My son is a huge fan of Sulley (James P. Sullivan) My daughter was more a fan of Mike. I love how it starts of with Mike as a little kid going to the scare factory and wanting to become a scarier. He is determined to go to MU and follow his dream. My son loves how Sulley and Mike were not exactly friends, but trying to work together to get back into scare school. Through all the struggles in the movie they become friends. My son laughed a lot during this movie. There was some adult humor in this movie also. I would highly recommend this movie on family movie night.

Pound Puppies: Holiday Hijinks DVD Review

 My children are huge fans of Pound Puppies. I remember when I was a kid I have stuff animals of Pound Puppies. The famous Pound Puppies gang are back- Lucky, Niblet, Cookie, Strudel, Squirt and Mr. Nut-Nut. On November 5th 2013 Shout Factory Kids in collaboration with Hasbro Studios is releasing Pound Puppies: Holiday Hijinks DVD. 

Can the gang make sure that every pet has a home this holiday season? You can find out in this holiday filled DVD. Holiday Hijinks has five holiday episodes.

The five episodes that are on this DVD are

• I Heard The Barks On Christmas Eve
• I Never Barked For My Father
• Barlow 
• Good Dog McLeish
• Prince And The Pupper

Overall this Dvd was filled with Holiday Cheer!! My son and daughter absolutely loved this DVD. I loved when the Puppies tried to make sure that every pet had a home for the holidays. I really like the message behind it and my kids loved the story. I would highly recommend this DVD for your children for the holidays.

My son is a huge fan of Phineas and Ferb and the Marvel characters. When my so learned their was a new movie coming out he was very excited. Recently on Oct.1 Phineas and Ferb Mission Marble was released.

When my son came home from school he was very excited to see this DVD. Of course we sat down and watched it. I was not to sure if this would be a good movie or not to be honest. I love both Phineas and Ferb and the Marvel characters, although I was not sure if they could go well together. I was surprised and I thought the movie was great. My son also enjoyed the movie. I love how Perry the Platypus was even dressed up as a superhero. I would highly recommend this movie!

The Little Mermaid is one of my favorite classics of all time. I am very excited to share that Disney is releasing The Little Mermaid on Diamond Edition 2 Disc Blu-Ray & DVD combo pack on October 1st.

The Little Mermaid is back with your favorite characters and their classic songs like Part of Your World and Under the Sea.

Our thought about the DVD- What is their not to love about the Little Mermaid? This was one of my favorite movies as a child. I was very excited to sit down on a Friday night and make some popcorn and have family night. I was super excited to share one of my favorite movies with my children. It was great watching my children experience this DVD for the first time. It was a little different hearing Part of This World due to Carly Jespen singing it. Although I think that she did a great job singing it. All though I am used to the original, I think she did a great job singing the part. If you are a huge fan of the Little Mermaid I would definitely would invest in Little Mermaid Diamond Edition.

My son said this is one of his favorite DVDS so far and told me that he watching it after school and I better not for get.

Review: No surprise that in our house we love Princess Sofia. My son and daughter will both sit down and watch Sofia the First over and over. This series is fun, new, fresh and entertaining for small children. The episodes include A Royal Mess, The Shy Princess, Blue Ribbon Bunny, The Princess Test, Two to Tang (Jasmine Episode.) What I love most about each episode is that there are values and morals to each show. I like the Shy Princess. No one wants to be the Princess Friend and everyone has spread rumors about the princess. Of course Princess Sofia to the rescue helps fix the situation after she is partnered with her on a school project. She realized that she a nice princess and everyone misunderstand her. I feel comfortable and am glad that my children like this DVD. Great family entertainment.

My Little Pony Equestria Girls Dvd Review

 

I am very excited to share with you that My Little Pony characters are growing up. In this dvd they are magically transformed into teenage girls so they could leave their magical kingdom and experience high school. 

I think that this is a very neat idea that they are letting the My Little Ponies experience high school. I believe that this would be great for girls who are in middle school. This kind of gives them a little idea of what high school is about.

In this move Twilight Sparkle's crown is stolen from the Crystals Empire. Princess Sparkle goes after her crown and she is thrown into an alternate world where she is turned into a teenage girl. If Princess Sparkle has any hope to returning to Equestria, she has to learn how to fit in. Princess Sparkle has to learn to fit in, in this strange world and defeat Sunset Shimmer. During this competition she does have help from spike and five teenage girls who remind her of her friends from back home. 

I really like the new twist that they did with My Little Ponies. It seems like some audience may not like it and some do. I like change and I think this movie may not be for younger girls like my daughter because she will not understand what is going on. I believe this would be perfect for girls five and up. It gives them something new and adventures. My son who is five seemed to be more interested in this DVD. You will be able to find this movie on September 2 at your local store or amazon.com.

Super Buddies DVD Review

Look who is back!! That is right Disney's Buddies are back in a brand new movie!! Supper Buddies is set to be released on August 27th. That movie will be released in Blue Ray Combo Pack and DVD.

A little bit about Super Buddies the movie- Our favorite characters are back Budderball, Mudbud, B-Dawg, Buddha and Rosebud. In this new adventure they discover mysterious rings on Fernfield Farms. They start to realize that the rings grant them each a special unique power. The pup's works together to help others out in the community that need help. Soon they will face a bigger problem when and alien from outer space starts to threaten their planet. Will the pups come up with a plan to save the planet without letting their secret out? Watch and you will find out!

I already knew that this film would be a hit in out house. My son loves the other Buddies movies and Air Bud, so I knew this movie would be a hit. When we sat down and watched the movie my son loved this movie. My daughter watched parts of it but lost her interest a few times. She is three year old so that is why. I loved the movie and I got caught up in the movie and had to watch the whole movie. This is a great movie and a great movie for family night. My son loves all the buddies. I have to lean towards B-Dawg as being my favorite Buddie.

Liberty's Kids Complete Series Review and Giveaway

As a parent I am always trying to find new educational programming for my children that is fun but entertaining at the same time. I know that American History can be boring at times and it hard for children to be interested it in it. It is very important that children learn about the historical facts. Liberty's Kids is one of my favorite animated series for kids. Liberty's Kids is an animated series geared just for kids. The recommend ages for this series is for ages 7 and up. Although my son enjoys watching this series and he is five years old. This series help teaches kids about the Revolutionary War history in a great way children will be interested in. 

This Dvd series has been released on July 16th. In this dvd series you may recognize some of the voices in this series. Their are some guest voice you may recognize such as Annette Bening, Dustin Hoffman, Michael Douglas, Whoopi Goldberg, and Liam Neeson. 

 I enjoy watching this series with my son. I even try to catch some of the episodes on TV when they are on. Although it hard to find this series on TV. This series is about Benjamin Franklin and his teenage reporters. The reporters confront the real and physical dangers of the American Revolution. I love how you will find each adventure fun and exciting although your young child will be taking in great information. I love how there are 40 episodes in this DVD. Robotech DVD Review

My son received a copy of the movie Robotech the Movie. Here is a little background about Robotech: Love Live Alive. This is a two disc dvd. The Shadow Chronicles: is taken place during and after the events of the Robotech The New Generation follow the adventure of Lieutenant Lance. Belmont as he recounts his journey from before his first encounter with Scott Bernard to the aftermat following Admiral Rick Hunter's expedition to liberate the Earth from the mysterious Invid Race. 

When we watched the movie it was harder for me to focus with this DVD it was not my style. Although my five year old loves it. I like how the dvd was animations and it was easier for my son to follow this dvd. A lot of details went this movie and you had to pay attention to this DVD to understand it. If your child or your a fan of Robotech you will find this dvd quite familiar and be able to follow it easily. My son said he would recommend this dvd for children around his age and not for parents. To regain her crown and return to Equestria, Twilight must learn how to fit into this strange, new world and defeat Sunset Shimmer in a competition to become crowned Princess of the Fall Formal at Canterlot High. Luckily, she will have the assistance of Spike and five teenage girls who remind her of a certain group of ponies back home.

My Littlest Pet Shop Sweetest Pets Review

I have a daughter and a son who absolutely love Littlest Pet Shop show. I remember when I was a little girl I would actually play with the little figurines. This is a great animation series with a lot of cute pets.

 

About this adventure-  When Blythe Baxter moved into the city with her father, she never expected to move into the apartment above the Littlest Pet Shop. But an even bigger surprise awaited her. Blythe can talk to the pets…and they can talk back! On June 4, 2013,  Shout! Factory Kids, in collaboration with Hasbro Studios, will release Littlest Pet Shop: Sweetest Pets on DVD. Join Blythe as she embarks on five more wild adventures with her newest friends: Pepper, the hilarious skunk; Sunil, the magical mongoose; Penny, the adorable panda; Russell, the highly organized hedgehog; Zoe, the diva Spaniel; and, of course, Minka, the artistic monkey!

 

When we watched it as a family my noticed my daughter was really into this DVD. My son said he was not but he watched the film a couple of time also. I do not think he wanted to really admit that he enjoyed it. I really was not sure what to expect and was not sure if they could pull this off. I really liked the the animals in My Littlest Pet Shop Sweetest Pets. They are so full of energy and personality in the show. My son favorite character in the DVD was Russel the Hedgehog. Overall it is a great DVD for young children and it will catch their interest. My little ones would watch it numerous of times.  My daughter loves the songs.

What I love about Disney Junior is that both of my children can agree on that channel. Majority of the time they both like the same shows that are on Disney Junior. One of our favorite show that is currently on Disney Junior is Doc McStuffins. This show is one of our favorite TV shows. When we learned that we got to review a copy we were very excited.

Time for Your Check Up is the second DVD compilation for Disney Junior's hit show. This DVD recently came out on May 7, 2013. This DVD aim for kids ages between 2 -5 years of age. Doc McStuffins is six year old girl who tells a story about nurturing and healing her stuffed animals and broken toys. She takes the broken toys out to her backyard to her playhouse which is a clinic. When Doc is in her clinic she has her team of stuffed animals to help her out. You will see Stuff and overly proud dragon, Lambie who is her best friend, Halli who is a hippo that is a nurse and Chilly a snowman who spend a lot of time getting checkups at the clinic. She helps toys that have loose stitching, low batteries or has a leak. To the rescue is Doc and her friends.

When we received this DVD for review my daughter was super excited and we had to put it in ASAP. We watch all of the episodes several times. They where very excited to see Doc on her adventures and help the toys that need help. Both of my children sat down and had fun watching DOC McStuffins. There was not surprise here that it was good. I do not want to spoil and tell you about the DVD but it is a must have if you have small children.
